Meet Catherine Sewell:

Catherine Rogers Sewell was born in McColl, South Carolina and now resides in North Carolina with her family.  She received her advanced graduate degrees in North Carolina and has worked as a school psychologist, teacher, counselor and school administrator.

Catherine has pursued her entertainment career full-time since 1998 and works as an actress, TV host, and voiceover talent.  Her early interest in the entertainment field began while in elementary school when she entered several talent contests as a singer.  College years included drama and stage productions.

She has been in, or worked on, over 40 films, numerous television projects and commercials.  Her voice can be heard on a variety of radio stations throughout the USA as well as in Australia.

Her experience has been varied throughout the years.  She began by doing "extra" work in several well known feature films such as "Bruno", "Shallow Hal", "Summer Catch", "Stateside", and "Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood".  She served as a stand-in for Maggie Smith and foot/leg double for Ellen Burstyn; scenes of which were also in the movie's trailer shown globally for the Sisterhood film.

Catherine has served as a co-host for "Live At Nine", a local area television program in her hometown, since 1998.  In addition, she has hosted a number of other North Carolina shows.  One of the most exciting was hosting the "Red Carpet" for the 75th Screen Actors Guild (SAG) in Wilmington, NC during the summer of 2008.   

One of her biggest thrills was her appearance as Mrs. Newman, the nosey neighbor, in the 2004 "Travelocity" television commercial that aired during the Rose Bowl Game.  This national exposure granted her the right to join the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) of which she is a current member in good standing. 

Catherine works diligently at perfecting her craft and her career and is constantly seeking and auditioning for new roles.  She has accomplished a lot in her few years, and realizes that she has been blessed to be able to pursue her dreams fulltime.

Her many experiences in the entertainment business include both sides of the camera.  She has worked as an assistant to the producer, producer, talent agent, casting and assistant director on various independent projects.

While at home, Catherine enjoys reading, watching movies and television, computer work, eating out and spending time with family and friends.  Hobbies include snow skiing, ice skating and singing as time permits.
